Pembrokeshire 100 and 50

Pembrokeshire Coastal Path (PCP) 100 & 50 -September 2021
Our Biennial Race following the Pembrokeshire Coast path is quite simply amazing. We believe that every ultra running should run the Pembrokeshire Coast Path at least once in their lifetime.

The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path is a designated national trail and is widely regarded as the most breath taking coastline in Britain from rugged cliff tops and sheltered coves to wide-open beaches and winding estuaries. This 100 mile race represents a formidable physical challenge set against a rugged, beautiful backdrop. The 100 mile routes start in the small harbour village of Dale, Milford Haven and follows the Pembrokeshire Coast Path to the finish in St Dogmeals, Cardigan.

Navigation
The route follows the marked Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and Wales Coastal Path along the entire route. Whilst the route is self navigation it is very well marked and well maintained as the path attracts thousands of walkers every year.  It is possible to navigate the route completely using the Coast Path signs but all competitors will be provided with a marked map and anywhere it is particularly tricky or if you have to leave the coast path we add extra running markers and flags.

Checkpoints
There are 8 manned checkpoints for the 100 mile race and 5 for the 50mile race.
Exact locations will be updated early 2021.

Transport
As the route is linear you will need to either get dropped off and picked up or park your car at the finish in St Dogmeals and catch one of the busses provided to the start of the event- these are provided for all entrants.

Time Limit
The time limit for the 100 mile event is 34 hours so it is suitable for anyone who can maintain a good running / walking pace of 3.2mph.  The time limit for the 50 mile course is 16 hours.
